Leadership That Shapes

Every time a Catholic professional enters a boardroom, a school board meeting, a public commission, a nonprofit leadership role, or a civic forum, they can carry the light of the Gospel into a place that desperately needs it.

Dear TLI family,

This week, Australia became the first nation to introduce a nationwide minimum age for social media, meaning that children under the age of sixteen can no longer maintain accounts on major platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. This move is more than a policy update. It reflects a growing global awareness that the formation and protection of young people cannot be outsourced to technology companies or left to commercial interests.

Why this matters? Because what happens in legislative chambers and public institutions affects the moral and spiritual fabric of society. It shapes the environment our children grow up in, the culture our families breathe, and the moral assumptions that will influence future generations. Australia’s action required discernment, courage, and leadership from laypeople in civil society. It required individuals willing to stand in the public square and bring moral clarity to issues that touch the heart of human dignity.

This is precisely why Tepeyac Leadership exists.

TLI forms lay Catholic leaders who can step into these spaces with virtue, competence, and a sense of mission. When public debates arise about the wellbeing of families, the protection of minors, or the long-term health of culture, our society needs faithful Catholics who are ready to speak and act with confidence and charity. Decisions like Australia’s new age requirement are reminders that policy making is not an abstract field. It is about real people, real families, and the moral order that supports human flourishing.

Every time a Catholic professional enters a boardroom, a school board meeting, a public commission, a nonprofit leadership role, or a civic forum, they can carry the light of the Gospel into a place that desperately needs it. But none of this happens automatically. Leaders are formed. Their vision is sharpened. Their confidence is strengthened. Their sense of responsibility grows. This is the work of TLI, and it is work that we can only continue through the support of, you, the TLI family.

Last week I invited you to consider supporting Tepeyac Leadership during this giving season. I want to renew that invitation today with deep gratitude. Your generosity makes possible the formation of leaders who can shape a culture where children are protected, families are strengthened, and moral clarity is not silenced but offered with confidence and hope.

When you support TLI, you give to a mission that equips Catholic men and women to become the kind of leaders who influence decisions like the one we saw in Australia. You are helping form the people who will build up a healthy public square, a civilization grounded in truth, and a society where the dignity of every person is respected.

As you prayerfully consider a year end gift, please know how grateful we are for every expression of support. No gift is too big or small. Every contribution strengthens our mission and expands its reach. Together, we can continue building a generation of Catholic leaders capable of sanctifying the world from within.

Below are five ways you can support TLI during this season of generosity:

  1. Make a one-time gift or if you prefer, send your gift by mail.
  2. Become a monthly partner, walk with us in an ongoing way.
  3. If you can, make a qualified charitable distribution.
  4. Contribute through your company’s matching program
  5. Include Tepeyac Leadership in your state plans at MyCatholicWill.

Thank you for standing with us, praying for us, and advancing the mission of forming Catholic leaders for civil society. This Advent, may our Lord bless your generosity abundantly.

Sincerely Yours in Christ and Our Lady of Guadalupe,

Cristofer Pereyra

P.S. This week, Bismarck, ND TV-personality, author, member of the TLI board of directors, and my friend, Monica Hannan, released a powerful new book titled Surrender to Lead. In a beautiful act of generosity, Monica is donating all proceeds from the book to Tepeyac Leadership. I encourage you to look at her book as an inspiring choice for your Christmas break reading.
