Our Hour

When faithful Catholics step away from positions of influence, those spaces do not remain neutral. They are rapidly filled by voices and values contrary to the Gospel.

Our everyday professional work is the very arena where we are called to encounter Christ and sanctify the world.

Dear TLI Family,

Look around us. The world is changing at a breathless pace. The events unfolding across our globe remind us of the fragile state of modern society. We are witnessing an era defined by deep geopolitical fracturing across Eastern Europe and the Middle East, economic anxieties that ripple through global supply chains, and the rapid, unpredictable rise of advanced artificial intelligence that threatens to reshape the very nature of human work. Closer to home, a widening crisis of trust continues to erode our educational, corporate, and public institutions.

The secular world often responds to these compounding crises with fear, polarization, or a cynical retreat into private comfort.

But as lay Catholic leaders in civil society, we do not have the luxury of standing on the sidelines. We cannot withdraw. As I have often reflected in my past Wednesday messages, when faithful Catholics step away from positions of influence, those spaces do not remain neutral. They are rapidly filled by voices and values contrary to the Gospel.

This is where our current paradigm intersects with the mission of Tepeyac Leadership.

The Hour of the Laity is Now

The lack a basic moral consensus in business, technology, healthcare, and public policy is not just a political or economic problem. It is a crisis of moral leadership. Our world is starved for leaders of uncompromised moral courage.

St. Josemaría Escrivá, whose spirit deeply influences the work of TLI, reminded us that our everyday professional work is the very arena where we are called to encounter Christ and sanctify the world. Your office, your courtroom, your laboratory, your corporate boardroom, and your local school board, all these are your mission territory.

Our Shared Commitment

As a family that has now formed hundreds of leaders across the globe, we must see the current global instability as a profound providential appointment. The challenges of 2026 demand a new generation of lay apostles who can look at complex, shifting realities, like the ethical frontiers of artificial intelligence or the strains on our economic security, and apply the timeless, steady framework of Catholic social doctrine.

In previous reflections, I’ve spoken about the necessity of building an interior life robust enough to withstand the pressures of a secularism. Today, I challenge you to live your faith with renewed boldness. Do not be afraid to lead with virtue, to deliver truth with charity.

When the world experiences turbulence, let the TLI family stand firm, bringing the light of the Gospel into the heart of civil society. Let us pray this week for the grace to be the anchors our professional fields so desperately need.

Be courageous. The Church is counting on you. The world is waiting for you.

Sincerely yours in Christ and Our Lady of Guadalupe,

Cristofer Pereyra

Finding Peace When Life and Work Collide

Much of our professional stress stems from an illusion of absolute control. We internalize the burden of outcomes, believing that if we just work one more hour, everything will hold together. The antidote to this white-knuckled anxiety is holy surrender.

Why Workplace Reconciliation Can't Wait

By refusing to let workplace friction linger in silent resentment, and instead choosing the path of humble, direct restitution, we bring the healing truth of the Gospel out of the pew and straight into the marketplace.
