Dear TLI family,
Tomorrow, November 6, marks the beginning of our THL2025 gathering in Mexico City. For the first time for Tepeyac Leadership, this annual event will take place outside the United States, but in many ways, this feels like coming home.
From our earliest days, our global apostolate entrusted its work to the intercession of St. Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadalupe. Their “yes” on the hill of Tepeyac calls us to say yes to sanctifying the world, to leadership rooted in faith, to the transformation of our workplaces and communities for the sake of Christ. Hosting THL2025 in Mexico brings us back to that origin and invites us to deepen our vision. We gather as a global family under Mary’s mantle, ready to serve, learn, and encounter Christ together.
I want to highlight a current development that beautifully echoes this Marian focus. Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco has recently encouraged U.S. Catholics to deepen their devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe. He has launched a multi-year initiative called Project Guadalupe 2031 in partnership with the Benedict XVI Institute, inviting families to enthrone an image of Our Lady in their homes to prepare for the five hundredth anniversary of her apparition.
What resonates so clearly for us is that Mary is not distant, she invites us into her home of faith, and into leadership, which is nothing other than serving others, like Juan Diego. Her visit in 1531 at Tepeyac was nothing less than the birthday of Christianity in the Americas, as Archbishop Cordileone notes.
As we gather at THL2025, let us allow that reality to sink in, the Gospel is alive. The world needs servant leaders. Mary’s mantle still covers us. And whether we work in business, law, education, healthcare, public service, or entrepreneurship, our vocation is to sanctify that space. Our theme this year, “In the One, we are one,” after Pope Leo XIV’s own motto, invites us to bring our whole selves, our professional lives and relationships, into this mission.
Also, a word of reminder and invitation. We are still accepting applications for our TLI Program until November 10. Know someone, a rising leader in your network, who would benefit from this formation? The TLI Program is an investment in the next generation of lay Catholic leaders for the world.
Finally, would you please pray for THL2025? Let us lift one another up and stand at the feet of Our Lady of Guadalupe, asking her to guide every moment, every encounter, every conversation. We are placing our event, our intentions, our work, and you, the TLI family, into her hands.
Thank you for your steadfast commitment to our mission. I look forward to seeing many of you in Mexico City, ready for what the Lord will do among us.
Sincerely yours in Christ and Our Lady of Guadalupe,
P.S. At Tepeyac Leadership, we equip lay Catholics to lead with the values of the Gospel in every sector of society. Our mission comes to life through Tepeyac Leadership Initiative (TLI), a premier formation experience. Now taking applications for the TLI 2026 cohort.
