Dear TLI family,
Every week, as I look out at the global landscape, I am struck by how quickly the headlines shift. Right now, our world is grappling with profound systemic changes, a reality brought into sharp focus by the Holy Father's newly released document, Magnifica Humanitas. In this timely text, the Pope speaks directly to the complex ethics of rapid technological advancement, warning us of the deep manipulation that can occur when human dignity is left out of the progress equation. It is easy to look at these massive, sweeping technological shifts and feel a sense of helplessness, wondering how we can possibly steer a digital and globalized culture back toward truth, beauty, and goodness.
But as lay Catholics, the challenges of secular culture are not a reason to retreat. Instead, they are a direct invitation to step forward. Our mission at Tepeyac Leadership is rooted precisely in this reality, which is equipping lay Catholics to lead with the values of the Gospel in every sector of society. When the secular world is navigating uncharted territory like advanced artificial intelligence and automated workplaces, it needs the stabilizing, timeless wisdom of the Church’s social teachings. It needs professionals in law, business, healthcare, and government who refuse to separate their professional excellence from their baptismal call.
This is why tomorrow brings such hope and joy to our TLI family. This month, we are officially graduating the 9th generation of Tepeyac Leadership Initiative. With this newest cohort, our global network officially crosses the 500 mark. Five hundred fully formed, passionate, and equipped lay Catholic leaders to advance the mission of the Church in the world.
Think about the ripple effect of that number. Executives, entrepreneurs, or civic leaders who view their daily work not just as a career, but as a primary apostolate to sanctify the secular world. Crossing the 500 mark is a profound milestone for us. The world needs this leadership now more than ever, and our Tepeyac Leaders are answering the call.

As these professionals finish their formation and prepare to step out as official Tepeyac Leaders, I ask you today to please keep them in your prayers. Pray that the Holy Spirit grants them the virtue of fortitude to lead with courage, the wisdom to navigate complex ethical landscapes, and a deep humility that keeps them closely anchored to Christ. Their leadership will face opposition, but through your spiritual support, they will find the strength to stand firm.
Finally, I want to personally invite you to play an active part in expanding this vital mission. This fall, we are hosting The Hour of the Laity 2026, our fourth annual conference, in Mexico City, and it is shaping up to be an unforgettable gathering.
This is not just another professional conference, because it is a profound spiritual pilgrimage. By joining us, you will have the rare, one-of-a-kind opportunity to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and look upon the authentic, miraculous image left on St. Juan Diego’s tilma. It was at Tepeyac hill that Our Lady launched the great evangelization of the Americas, and it is there that we will gather to renew our commitment to the new evangelization of our modern culture.
Please visit THLconference.org today to secure your spot. Come to be inspired, come to network with Catholic professionals from around the globe, and come to stand at the feet of Our Mother, asking for her maternal intercession over our work and our world.
Thank you for your continued prayers, your shared vision, and your unwavering support of Tepeyac Leadership. Together, let us continue to bring the light of the Gospel into the heart of the world. Because if not now, when? And if not us, then who?
