I hope this message finds you well. As Catholic professionals and leaders in civil society, we know the challenges we face in both our personal and professional lives are deeply intertwined with the larger cultural and political realities. Yet, as we reflect on the direction of the country under the new administration, I find a renewed sense of hope, particularly for Catholics in the U.S.
While we recognize that no administration is without its imperfections, the early signs from the White House are encouraging. The administration’s clear commitment to pro-life values and the defense of religious freedom marks a shift that resonates deeply with our faith and convictions.
For Catholics, these are not just policy positions—they are matters of principle that directly affect the moral and social fabric of our society. While much remains to be seen as the full agenda of the administration is revealed, the early signals of support for the pro-life cause and the protection of religious liberties are heartening.
At Tepeyac Leadership, we are energized by these developments, as they align with our mission of forming a more faithful and committed Catholic laity. We are called to be leaders—not just within the walls of our parishes, but also in our professions, communities, and civil society.
This mission takes on added urgency as we look to renew the Church’s presence in the world and to ensure that Catholic values continue to influence the public square in meaningful ways.
As part of this ongoing effort, we are excited about a series of events that Tepeyac Leadership will be hosting in Europe later this year.
We will be visiting Rome, London, and Lisbon, where we will unveil our vision for a dynamic Catholic laity actively engaged in the Church’s mission. These gatherings will provide an opportunity for professionals, thought leaders, and lay Catholics to come together, and explore ways to deepen our commitment to influencing society with the values of the Gospel.
Additionally, we are thrilled to be hosting the Tepeyac Leadership Gala on April 12, 2025.
This special evening will feature Brian Burch as our keynote speaker. Brian, who was recently nominated to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See, has demonstrated exemplary leadership in promoting Catholic values in public life. His work is a testament to the role faithful Catholic leaders can play in shaping policy and public discourse.
For more insight into Brian’s background and his vision for lay Catholic leadership, I recommend reading The Catholic Professional’s article, Who is Brian Burch? Trajectory, Faith, and Public Service. It offers a look at Brian’s faith and its role in the trajectory of his career.
As we continue to navigate the complexities of our world, I invite you to join us in our commitment to renewing the Catholic Church and advancing its mission in the world. The leadership we exert as Catholic professionals has the potential to shape not only the future of our faith but also that of society.
Let us invest in the next generation of lay Catholic leaders who will carry our values forward and serve as ambassadors of truth, goodness, and beauty in the world.
Thank you for your continued dedication to Tepeyac Leadership’s cause. I look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events and working together to build a stronger, more faithful Catholic presence in the world in 2025.
P.S. The TLI 2025 cohort will start in a few days. I ask for your prayers for them. Does our mission make sense to you? Please click here to become a monthly financial supporter of TLI.
