Why THL2025 Matters—It’s the Hour of the Laity

Why does THL2025 matter? Because the Church needs you. The world needs you. Your leadership, your faith, your voice, your presence—these are indispensable.

For too long, the laity have been viewed as spectators in the life of the Church—faithful members, yes, but not protagonists in her mission. Yet the Second Vatican Council made clear that the laity have a vital, irreplaceable role: to sanctify the world from within.

That mission is more urgent now than ever. And that is why THL2025 matters.

Tepeyac Leadership exists for one reason: to form Catholic lay leaders who bring the light of the Gospel into every sector of society—into business, law, education, media, politics, and culture. For years, we have been preparing men and women to step into their vocation as leaders. Now, THL2025 is the moment when all those threads come together: a global commissioning of the laity for mission.

At Tepeyac Hill in Mexico City, beneath the gaze of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Catholic professionals from around the world will be equipped and sent forth. They will encounter Christ, deepen their spiritual lives, and receive the tools they need to lead with authenticity in their professions.

But more than that, THL2025 is a place of encounter with one another. Imagine the strength that comes from standing with fellow Catholic leaders who share your vision and vocation. Imagine the encouragement of knowing you are not alone—that in every corner of the globe, there are men and women striving, as you are, to sanctify society.

Why does THL2025 matter? Because the Church needs you. The world needs you. Your leadership, your faith, your voice, your presence—these are indispensable.

This gathering is not just an event on the calendar. It is a milestone in our apostolate's history. It is a moment when the laity rise, together, to claim the mission entrusted to us at baptism: to go forth and make disciples, to restore all things in Christ.

The countdown has begun. Two months remain. And your presence matters.

The Spiritual Cost of Constant Notifications

Constant notifications make this interior attentiveness difficult. Even when people are physically alone, they are rarely mentally quiet. Every vibration or sound pulls the mind outward. Attention becomes fragmented. The soul grows accustomed to distraction.
