Dear TLI Family,
As we come together this Wednesday, we are reminded of the vibrant momentum carrying our apostolate forward. Following the culmination of our TLI 2026 cohort in June, whose participants articulated powerful commitments to bring Christ into business, family life, and the public square, and the remarkable gathering for The Hour of the Laity 2026 in Mexico City last month, our mission is more alive than ever.
Across our global community, we witness a world searching for direction, truth, and hope. Political polarization, economic uncertainty, and social fragmentation dominate the headlines, tempting many toward cynicism or withdrawal. Yet as Catholic professionals, we know that our faith calls us not to retreat from the world, but to transform it from within.
Nowhere is this civic call more immediately visible than in the U.S. Midterm Elections. As citizens prepare to cast their ballots, we are given both a privilege and a duty to engage the political process. As the U.S. bishops frequently remind us, faithful citizenship begins not with a political party’s platform, but with our relationship with Jesus Christ and the timeless truths of Catholic doctrine.
We are called to let well-formed consciences guide our decisions at the ballot box. A well-formed conscience recognizes that while candidates and policy proposals offer varied approaches to addressing complex social issues, our commitment to moral principles must remain steadfast. Among these, defense of human life is always the preeminent priority. The foundational right to life for the most vulnerable, from conception to natural death, forms the bedrock upon which all other rights and human dignity depend. When we stand up for these non-negotiables, we safeguard the moral core of our society.
Authentic lay leadership means carrying these convictions into the public square with clarity, charity, and fortitude. It means refusing to leave our faith in the pews. Whether in the voting booth, the boardroom, or community council meetings, we are called to be salt and light, promoting human flourishing, defending the vulnerable, and serving the common good.
This vital work is precisely why Tepeyac Leadership exists. We form and equip lay Catholic professionals to step into positions of influence in secular society with deep spiritual maturity and professional excellence.
If you or a lay Catholic professional you know is ready to deepen their impact, discover their mission, and lead with confidence, we invite you to take the next step. Applications for the TLI 2027 Cohort are open now through November 10.
