One Beautiful Game

As we watch nations gather on the global stage, we are reminded of how powerful it is when humanity finds a shared joy. It shows us that beneath our differences, there is a human desire for community, for excellence, and for celebration.

The entire world pauses to share a common language and a common love for one beautiful game.

Dear TLI Family,

I write today full of hope and a profound sense of gratitude for the incredible community we share. Every week we talk about the challenges of our times. But as Christians we also look at the world through the eyes of faith, and with supernatural vision. What the world labels as crises, we recognize as frontiers of grace. Ours is an era primed with opportunity to lead, serve, and live lives of heroic witness.

The world waits for the laity to step forward. The public square, the boardroom, the courtroom, the clinic, the school, and the hall of governance, all need true leaders. This is where our faith must come alive. Our challenges cannot be solved or healed through passive piety alone. They require professional excellence, unwavering virtue, and a well-formed Catholic conscience in our all decision-making. We must unleash the dynamism of the Gospel. We must unleash into our career as one who steps in mission territory.

I invite you to lead with a joy that is contagious and an excellence that cannot be ignored. As our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, has consistently reminded us throughout his pontificate, our ultimate call as Christians is to be bridge-builders and instruments of unity. He challenges us to look past the superficial divisions of our time and recognize our shared humanity under God. He reminds us that true leadership always seeks to unite, to uplift, and to heal.

This week, we are witnessing a vivid reflection of that unity. Even if it is imperfect, the entire world pauses to share a common language and a common love for one beautiful game. As we watch nations gather on the global stage, we are reminded of how powerful it is when humanity finds a shared joy. It shows us that beneath our differences, there is a human desire for community, for excellence, and for celebration. Human beings seek things that bring us together rather than pull us apart.

As our TLI family grows globally, every empty seat at a decision-making table is an invitation for a leader of integrity to step up. When we show up with character and competence, we fill those spaces with light, ensuring that the dignity of the human person remains at the center of the future we are building.

Let us pray for one another this week, that we may have the courage to embrace this moment with enthusiasm, standing as true ambassadors of Christ in the heart of society. Enjoy the matches, celebrate the camaraderie, support your colors, and may the best win!

Thank you for your continued commitment to this mission, and for walking this journey of leadership with your TLI family. Together, let us continue transforming lives, building up the community and the Church by investing in tomorrow’s lay Catholic leaders.

Sincerely yours in Christ and Our Lady of Guadalupe,

Cristofer Pereyra

Navigating the Grief of Fallen Heroes

A fallen hero offers a painful, yet necessary, opportunity to examine our own hearts. Often, our deep discouragement stems from an underlying error, the tendency to idealize a human being. When we turn mentors into icons, we forget their inherent human fragility.

What St. Benedict Teaches Modern Leaders

St. Benedict reminds us that leadership is fundamentally an exercise in stewardship. Whether you are managing an investment portfolio, leading a tech startup, or directing a corporate board, your primary responsibility is to steward both the human and capital resources entrusted to you.
