The Hour Nears

The mission entrusted to us is both simple and demanding. It calls for leaders who are humble, ethical, and unafraid to serve.

Dear TLI family,

We are now just one week away from The Hour of the Laity 2025. What an extraordinary moment this is for our mission and the TLI family. The anticipation is palpable as Catholic leaders from across the globe prepare to gather for what promises to be a landmark event in the renewal of lay Catholic leadership. Together, we will reflect, learn, and commit anew to sanctifying the world through our professional and civic lives.

And just yesterday, the National Catholic Register published an interview about our global apostolate. I invite you to check it out!

At the same time, we are also less than two weeks away from the application deadline to join Tepeyac Leadership Initiative (TLI) 2026. The timing feels providential. As we come together to celebrate lay leadership at THL2025, we are also discerning and welcoming the next generation of Tepeyac Leaders who will carry this mission forward into every sector of civil society.

Our world is in urgent need of these leaders. News headlines remind us daily of a painful truth: there is a deep moral and ethical vacuum in public life today. From politics and business to education, science, media, and technology, we see the consequences of leadership detached from virtue, truth, and the dignity of the human person. The crises we face are not merely economic or political, they are spiritual. They reveal what happens when leadership loses its moral compass.

This is precisely why Tepeyac Leadership exists. We believe that the renewal of culture begins not in legislatures or boardrooms but in the hearts of men and women who are rooted in Christ and courageous enough to bring His light into the world. Through formation, fellowship, and magnanimity, TLI equips lay Catholic professionals to become that light in their own spheres of influence.

The mission entrusted to us is both simple and demanding. It calls for leaders who are humble, ethical, and unafraid to serve. It asks each of us to integrate our faith into the decisions we make every day, from the way we lead our teams to the way we vote, teach, innovate, and care for others. In a time when integrity often feels rare, the witness of lay Catholics committed to holiness in their professional lives becomes not only inspiring but essential.

As we approach THL2025, I am filled with gratitude for all who have supported and believed in this mission since its founding. We have seen the Lord transform a small idea into a growing movement that continues to bear fruit around the world. Yet this is only the beginning.

I ask you to join me in prayer this week, for the success of The Hour of the Laity 2025 and for the men and women discerning whether to apply for TLI 2026. May the Holy Spirit guide them, strengthen them, and set their hearts on fire to lead as faithful witnesses in every field of human endeavor.

Sincerely yours in Christ and Our Lady of Guadalupe,

Cristofer Pereyra

LinkedIn, and the Temptation to Perform Success

For many people LikedIn slowly becomes more than a tool. It becomes a stage. On that stage, success can be curated, arranged, and subtly exaggerated. The temptation is not always dishonesty in the obvious sense. It is something quieter.
